Book I’m currently reading this book that beautifully narrates the story of a young modern-day Indian, born in a middle-class family with stars in his eyes and dreams with the sky as the limit.
And, I must say, it’s a true reflection of the ‘Make in India’ spirit, where a businessman with humble means could build an economic powerhouse through sheer determination and perseverance. The book is based on a Mumbai-based entrepreneur, named Jignesh Shah. On reading further, I realized why the author calls him a pioneer in developing the Indian financial markets.
This man always wanted to find solutions that not only empowered the financial market infrastructure, but those that could create financial inclusion, global integration and democratization of markets. He had the vision of bridging the urban-rural divide, striving towards product innovation, skill development, job creation, and generation of sustainable incomes for one and all, especially in semi-urban and rural areas. He dedicated his life in shaping the future of the Indian Financial Markets.
I’m yet to read the book but could not stop myself from sharing this with you. Do grab a copy whenever you get a chance. Its titled ‘The Target Book’ and is written by Delhi-based writer, Shantanu Guha Ray.
